Built by Parents, For Students
From a simple need to a dedicated platform, OpenStudy is rooted in community and real-world experience.
The Shift to Computer-Based Testing (CBT)
A few years ago, we watched the educational landscape change rapidly. When the government mandated the shift to Computer-Based Testing (CBT), we noticed a significant challenge: while the content knowledge was there, a majority of our young children were unfamiliar and often intimidated by the actual test interface. They weren't just being tested on what they knew, but on their ability to navigate a digital environment under pressure. We saw a clear need for a tool that could bridge this gap between traditional study methods and modern examination formats.
The Pandemic's Impact on Education
The onset of the global pandemic only accelerated this necessity. Overnight, online learning became not just an option, but a vital lifeline. This made the need for effective and accessible digital practice paramount. It wasn't enough to just share PDFs; students needed interactive, simulated experiences that mirrored their future testing environments. This period affirmed our commitment: digital fluency is now a core part of educational success.
Built from the Ground Up, by the Community
OpenStudy wasn't started by a corporation—it began as a small, collaborative effort. A few dedicated parents, recognizing this shared problem, decided to pool their resources and expertise. We started small, contributing questions, practice tests, and test sets specifically designed to help our own children become comfortable with the digital format. That original spirit of community support and shared excellence remains the core of our platform today. We're continually growing, powered by the input of parents, tutors, and teachers who know exactly what students need.
Our Vision
To be the essential practice tool that removes the barrier between a student's knowledge and their testing environment, ensuring every child can achieve their potential.
